The u3a is open to all men and women who have ceased full time employment. The sole mind-set is a desire to learn, from academia to physical activities or playing bridge.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Annual membership fee for an individual person is £40
WHAT DOES THE FEE COVER?
Your fee covers you for attendance at any class, including talks by guest speakers. There is nothing more to pay, unless your group leader produces handouts or provides refreshments and asks you to contribute towards the cost. Some activities may incur additional payments – e.g. admission to visits, entrance fees, materials for use by some groups. There is no limit on the number of classes you are entitled to join. Please look at our EVENTS on the right and use the menu at the top of the screen for details of the Study Groups that are currently running.
You will receive the Kenton & District u3a Newsletter, giving reports on past activities and news about forthcoming ones, as well as being able to reach it through this link to our NEWSLETTER. You will also receive the u3a NEWS magazines direct from u3a National Office, with information on happenings in the world of adult learning, other u3a’s shared learning projects etc.
WHAT IS GIFT AID?
If you pay tax (which may be deducted at source) we may be able to claim a refund from the HMRC. It does not cost you anything, nor does it complicate your finances in any way.
